ABOUT US

American Indian women have, since time immemorial, served in necessary roles and made important contributions in the lives of their tribal nations, clans, and families. Native women of the new millennium continue in these roles and expand their influence among their own nations and in a multicultural world.

In order that we may assist in guiding the destiny of our race, we, the Indian women of the State of Oklahoma, join our hands, hearts, and voices to improve and advance the economic and social welfare; the educational and cultural development of our people; and to assume our rightful place as the First Citizens of this great Country and the State of Oklahoma.
